Characterized by the growth of maritime trade, this era continued the exchange and interaction of societies around the globe. Key developments of this era include the development of trading networks in the Eastern Hemisphere, the explosive growth of Islam, and the emergence of the Aztec and Inca empires in the Americas.

    The Crusades

    Students will analyze two documents from the Crusades and use 21st century skills to reflect on the different viewpoints presented by each.

    The Magna Carta

    Students will examine and analyze multiple primary sources to determine the impact of the Magna Carta on the development of representative government.
