“Allah’s Apostle said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles): 1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah’s Apostle. 2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly. 3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity). 4. To perform Hajj. 5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.”

“A man asked the Prophet, ‘What sort of deeds or (what qualities of) Islam are good?’ The Prophet replied, ‘To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not Know.’”

“The Prophet said, ‘None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.’”

“The Prophet said, ‘None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.’”

“The Prophet said, ‘Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights.’”
