  • 1. Have attitudes about retirement changed from what they were in 1935? Research changes in life expectancy, average retirement age, and other factors that might have an impact. Do we have different expectations with respect to lifestyle today?
  • 2. Roosevelt was adamantly against a system that was “the dole.” What would he think of Social Security today? Is the current system true to his vision, or is it something else? Would he modify it, or leave it as is?
