  • Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as also Moses, David and Solomon: the line of patriarchs of the biblical Old Testament
  • Aaron: the brother of Moses and the first high priest of the Israelites
  • Alpha and Omega: beginning and ending, from the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet
  • Gentiles: non-Jews, especially Christians
  • Holy Ghost: in Christianity, the third person of the Trinity; representative of God’s spirit in creation
  • justification through the grace of our Lord …: the Protestant doctrine that salvation is a gift from God through faith and cannot be earned through good works
  • Nathan: an Old Testament prophet
